NAT Gives Back

January 15, 2020 Kallie Schuchart

We’ve been searching for ways that we can help better our community, and have decided that giving back, through time and donations, to our local SanJac non-profits is the best way to start! On January 1st, we started collecting funds from you, our customers, by asking if you’d like to “round up” to the nearest dollar on your purchases. By doing this, we hope to build relationships with the various organizations in our neighborhood, and help those that are in need around us.

Heal The City is a 501(c)3 founded by Dr. Alan Keister, an Amarillo physician who identified a desperate need for healthcare throughout certain neighborhoods within Amarillo. Dr. Keister began by offering free health screenings at various schools, such as San Jacinto Elementary, where organizers saw more than 500 people in just two hours time. This overwhelming neighborhood response not only highlighted a critical need, but sparked the vision to open a free medical clinic in the SanJac neighborhood. Their mission is to provide free quality medical care and referral services with dignity and compassion to the uninsured of our community. If you would like to know more about Heal The City, or would like to find out about volunteer opportunities, you can visit their website here: Heal The City

The NAT will be collecting donations for Heal The City until March 31st. We will also be matching our customer donations the last Saturday of each month, so be sure and shop with us the next couple of months and help us help others in our community. See you on 6th!

The holidays are upon us! We’re unloading our trailer full of the most amazing goodies for one of our favorite shows of the year: Christmas Roundup. This year marks the 38th Annual Christmas Roundup, and we are so excited to be included.

If you’ve never been to Roundup, it is Amarillo’s best holiday market that features the area’s best makers, retail shops, and foodies. Not to mention that the proceeds from Christmas Roundup help fund the many educational programs that the Amarillo Museum of Art offers, like museum School, Summer Art Camps, ArtSmart Senior Programming, Docent-led Tours, Regional School Outreach, Lectures and Gallery Talks just to name a few!

Come see us this weekend!
