Vendor of the Month: April

We are currently loving all of the items offered by this month’s Vendor of the Month, Allie Enriquez. With her distinctive boho style and kind soul, we think she is definitely worthy of Vendor of the Month!

Name: Allie Marie Enriquez - Dear Jon

Name three words that describe you:

Quirky, Creative, Faithful

What items do you specialize in?

Anything and everything wicker! If you visit my booth, you’ll find all the rattan baskets and trinkets you could ever want. I try to seek out Mid-Century pieces as well, though they are usually the first to sell. My house is full of it, so Dear Jon is too! It’s basically overflow from my house. If I could live in a mid-century and/or wicker wonderland, I would.

What is your favorite place to source products?

I’m obsessed with garage and estate sales. These are definitely my favorite! My taste in decor and clothing is very eclectic, dare I say “old fashioned” or “grandma-chic”. I often keep things in my home as decor for a time, then resell them once I’ve switched things up.

What is your most prized possession you have found over the years?

My wicker peacock chair! She is from the early 1970s and definitely too fragile to sit on, but she will not be going anywhere. She has a permanent spot in my living room as an art piece.

What is your best catch and release (an item you found but left behind?)

Once upon a time, before I had my booth, I found a giant wicker room divider at a thrift store. It was only $20, and for whatever reason, I didn’t buy it. I must’ve convinced myself I didn’t have room for it in my then very small apartment. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about it!

Where do you find inspiration?

I find a great deal of inspiration from older home design books and magazines. I love classic, timeless pieces… with the occasional tacky 70s flare. I do love a good shag carpet moment.

How do you spend your free time when you’re not at The Nat?

I’m a local tattoo artist! Beyond that, I love spending time at home (major introvert here!) with my pets or at my church. I’ve been married to my husband, Miguel for 4 years. He is best friend and I love spending time with him. My husband and I are also both on staff at The Loft Church and make our faith a priority. He serves as the youth worship pastor and I run our website, app, and social media.

What’s your personal motto?

It is the title of a well known hymn, and something that has brought me a lot of peace over the past couple years. Dear Jon is named after my son, Jon Phillip, who we lost at 10 days old in January of 2021. “It is well with my soul” is both my life motto and a song that can get me through the hardest of trials.
